The Institute for Application-oriented Knowledge Processing at the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences announces the opening for a Tenure-Track position in Knowledge and Data Processing at the Johannes Kepler University Linz for female candidates holding a Doctorate/PhD degree.
In accordance with the collective agreement for employees and the Austrian Universities Act, the Institute for Application-oriented Knowledge Processing at the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences announces the opening for a full-time (40 h/week), six-year Tenure-Track position at the Johannes Kepler University Linz. The university wishes to increase the proportion of academic female faculty and therefore, this position is open solely to female applications in support of the Development Plan.
The position is dedicated to highly qualified junior researchers with a Doctorate/PhD and corresponding expertise in the field of Knowledge and Data Processing. The position offers the possibility of concluding a qualification agreement that – upon the successful completion of the requirements as outlined in the agreement – may result in a permanent position as Associate Professor (§ 99 Sec. 5 and 6 of the Austrian Universities Act).
The successful candidate should have an outstanding academic track record after completing the Doctorate/PhD demonstrating excellence in academic publishing, and expertise in teaching university-level courses.

The minimum salary in accordance to the collective agreement of 2025 is EUR 69,060.60 per year based on full-time employment. The annual minimum salary under the collective agreement will be raised on EUR 81,314.80 upon concluding a qualification agreement.
