As April came to an end, so did one of the most memorable chapters in the ACT 24/25 journey: the international phase. Over the last seven months, the diverse group of students studied across three continents, tackled real-world business challenges, and created friendships that will last far beyond graduation.
The final week brought it all together. Each team presented the results of their consulting projects to a panel of professors from JKU, NSYSU, and UVic, along with their partner companies — Voestalpine AG, KEBA GmbH, Business Upper Austria / Softwarepark Hagenberg, the WKO Export Center, Krawinkler Solutions, and the JKU MGB Alumni. It was clear how much effort, creativity, and teamwork went into every presentation. From strategic recommendations to innovative tech solutions, the cohort proved that they grew both personally and professionally.
And after all the hard work? It was time to celebrate. On Friday evening, the cohort gathered at Stiegl-Klosterbräu in Linz for a last cheerful night marking the official end of this chapter. Students received their participation certificates and shared stories from the past months over good food and drinks. The farewell weekend continued with a fun visit to the Linzer Urfahranermarkt, soaking in local culture one last time before heading their separate ways.
What became evident was that this journey wasn’t just about academics or projects, rather, it was about learning from one another, stepping out of comfort zones, and becoming part of a truly global community. The ACT 24/25 cohort now walks away with more than just new skills and international experience - they carry unforgettable memories and a lifelong bond with the Global Business family.
Here’s to new beginnings, wherever the next chapter leads. (Written by student assistant Chiara Paprotny)
